There is the newest hype. All the papers are writing regarding it and the interest online is exploding. So what's the Ketogenic Diet? What does Keto even mean and the way is it done. First of all, we have to know all about Keto. Same diets are used for many years, even centuries. As our ancestors didn't eat simple carbohydrates like pasta, bread pizza dough or sugar like we have a habit to do nowadays.   


  What does the word mean?
                          Basically, our body runs on 2 different fuels. One is sugar from carbohydrates in the food we eat and that's what the majority nowadays primarily use. The other fuel is fat. Our body and brain can become fueled by fat. When the body is out of sugar, fat is regenerate within the liver into energy molecules referred to as Ketones that fuel the brain. The diet that results in this, is referred to as Ketogenic, it produces ketones. And that's why the diet is called the Keto diet

                     KD is a strict low-carb, high fat and moderates in protein. It's just like the Paleo diet and it is very near the old and well-known Atkins diet. History of Keto Diet

Fasting and other dietary routines have been used to treat epilepsy since at least 500 BC. The ketogenic diet (KD) was introduced by modern physicians as a treatment for epilepsy in the 1920s.
                       The start of the new era of the KD began with a Hollywood producer, Jim Abrahams, and his son Charlie, who had uncontrollable seizures that did not respond  to multiple medications and totally different treatments. 2.Keto flu
 It is also common for individuals on the diet to experience flu-like symptoms, like headaches and fatigue. This side effect is thus common that there's a name for it: the keto flu.

3.Dehydration
You shed plenty of water weight initially, which may result in dehydration, Nisevich Bede explains. This will worsen the symptoms of the keto flu.   1. Good basic description of the Keto diet. I can’t stick to a strict one, but have cut my carbs by quite a bit. I think a moderated Keto is probably the healthiest.
